We recommend the following books and other resources on the topic of Islam. We hope you will find this list helpful.

    Qur'an Books

Ali, Maulana Muhammad; A Manual Of Hadith (Curzon Press, London, 1977).

Bin Ladin, Carmen; Inside The Kingdom: My Life in Saudi Arabia (Warner books, New York, 2004). A fascinating, quick read by a European woman who married into the Bin Ladin family. Bush, Rev. George; The Life Of Mohammed: Founder of The Religion of Islam, and of The Empire of The Saracens (A. L. Fowler, New York, 1900).
Campbell, Dr. William.; The Qur'an and The Bible in the Light of History and Science (Middle East Resources. ISBN: 1-881085-00-7). This book answers Dr. Maurice Bucaille’s infamous, The Bible, The Qur’an, and Science.
The MahdiCantrell, Ron; Hijacked Messiah: The Mahdi (Jerusalem, Israel, 2004). This is the only book currently sounding the alarm regarding the skyrocketing excitement about the coming of the Muslim Messiah. Order this book from the Cantrell’s website: Jerusalem Update.

Dodd, Edward M. and Rose W.; Mecca and Beyond (Central Committee On The United Study Of Foreign Missions, Boston, 1937). An encouraging missions perspective.

Eck, Diana L.; A New Religious America: How A “Christian Country” Has Become the World’s Most Religiously Diverse Nation (HarperSanFrancisco, 2001). A sympathetic look at American Muslims in chapter five.

Geisler, Norman L. and Saleeb, Abdul; Answering Islam: The Crescent in Light of The Cross (Baker Books, Grand Rapids, 2002). Solid.

Hekmat, Anwar; Women and the Koran: The Status of Women in Islam (Prometheus Books, New York, 1997). A critical work showing that “many deprivations and humiliations suffered by Muslim women have their roots in Islam’s holy book, the Koran, and the life of its Prophet, Muhammad.”

Jeffery, Arthur (Ed.); Islam: Muhammad and His Religion (The Bobbs-Merrill Co., Inc., Indianapolis, 1958).

Jones, L. Bevan; The People of The Mosque (Association Press, YMCA, Calcutta, 1932).

Lings, Martin; Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources  (Inner Traditions International, Ltd., Rochester, Vermont, 1983). A valuable and scholarly work.

Robinson, Stuart; Mosques & Miracles: Revealing Islam and God's Grace (CityHarvest Publications, Upper Mt. Gravatt, 2004). This is perhaps the only book you will ever need on Islam; highly recommended!
Rodinson, Maxime;  Mohammed (Pantheon Books, New York, 1961). A classic, interesting and authoritative biography.

Sasson, Jean; Princess: Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia (Wm. Morrow & Co., Inc., New York, 1992). A fascinating and spooky look at life for a woman in Saudi Arabia. Ghostwritten to protect the life of the Arabian woman whose story this is.

Warraq, Ibn; Leaving Islam: Apostates Speak Out (Prometheus Books, Amherst, 2003). Warraq tends to criticize all religion, but in this volume he provides a valuable testimony by — and forum for — those who would be executed under Sharia.
